Logos - The beginning

KJV "John Chapter 1

:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him.
:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost.
:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Magister I have some questions:

What is the word?
Who are the "Father", "Son" and the "Holy Ghost" that the cave dwellers speak of?
Are they real or an allegory?
If they are real how can we know? Can I meet them? If we can not know are we doomed to the hell they speak of? What is hell?
If these are allegory what do they represent? Again, can we know?
It seems important if the whole of western civilization hangs on these three characters. And especially if we want to know and understand the whole truth.

Magister?

So, what is the Logos? The Logos is Greek (λόγος) meaning to count, to speak, and to tell. More deeply it captures the essence of the subject of what is being demonstrated, the topic of discourse and reasoning. The Latin kept the pronunciation but used the Roman letters rendering, Logos. Consider counting, does there not need to be a human being to be in the process of counting? Yes, for only human beings are capable of such a process. We could postulate a possible world or universe but for my purposes here discipulus this is unnecessary, my purpose shall work fine without such postulation. Speaking and telling are capacities of only the human being. The essence of neither the subject I demonstrate is not ethereal nor the matter of soul, but the empirical human being. With all our failings and short comings we are still the perfection of nature, evolution, and being. Behold yourself in the mirror mortal, you are the Logos.
Humanity, λόγος, is the word above all others. To call yourself or another person a human being is to crown us the king of all creation, λόγος. The highest form of being, therefore, the very deity of which every human is.
Deep in every human being is the desire to achieve all one can. Even in the laziest it is there. A tiny ember burning, waiting for the proper moment of oxygen to reach it to become a blaze. Release all the nihilistic murmurings that “You can’t do that.” “You aren’t smart enough, or good looking enough.” “You don’t have the qualifications.” Excuse me, but all of these are lies. I give you the truth. You can do it, you can achieve anything that is in your capability. You are smart enough, you have beautiful soul in your head, use it. You are qualified, by your birth you are qualified. Seize the volition of deity, and grasp life and live.

Part 2
You want the λόγος, I give you human beings. Nietzsche and Sartre did not, they eradicated it. You want God, I give you human beings, Hobbes, Schopenhauer, and Nietzsche offered nothing. You want a soul, I give you the brain, Nietzsche, Ayer, and Derridda offered nothing. Look upon my system, I replace what the wrecking ball has destroyed. I come and make all things new, in a system that is rational and acceptable.

Where is Augustine's "City on the Hill" and who lives there?
And perhaps more importantly: How do they live - with each other?

What if we chose the wrong religion?
Each week we'd just make God madder and madder.
