Liberals Commit Suicide.

It could be called the dance of the lemmings. The Gallup poll shows that conservatives out number liberals in every state. 40% say they are conservative while only 21% say they are liberal.

35% say they are moderate.

Now the interesting thing about moderates in America is that they tend to be more conservative than liberal.

What does this mean in the real world? Well, as you read this post, the White House is backing off of socialized medicine as well as several liberal love childs. Over the next year, you will likely see President Obama 'reading the writing on the wall' and start courting the more moderate Blue Dogs and Republicans while at the same time we will hear the disappointed moans of dispair from his liberal 'friends'.

More importantly, for Republicans, the midterm elections will likely be a huge Christmas gift if they play their cards right and act "reasonable".

I foresee a mirror image of this congress coming as the people realize that having Obama as president is really cool - as long as the congress is safely Republican. Kind of like getting your cake and eating it too.

Hmm I wonder what party you identify with.

My finances are greatly strained because of health insurance. Hopefully no matter what the outcome of this health bill, the attention of this fiasco alone might shape up some of these insurance companies.

My art history college professor, then in his early forties, was dying of brain cancer when his insurance company decided to drop him from the plan. That's why the college organized an online auction of his art collection and yours truly bought $1,500 worth of modern contemporary art, proceeds of which went towards his ongoing medical care.

Then, two weeks later, you know where went belly up and that's how I ended up back the other you know where...

aw memories.

Your efforts on behalf of your professor are admirable; but you forgot a cardinal rule: "no good deed goes unpunished"

You pay for health insurance in Japan. That means you pay into a state run national social health insurance system. This is the kind of system Obama wants to create in the US. If you are complaining of it being exprensive in Japan, what makes you think it will be easier or cheaper in the US?

The system in the US must be changed yes, but reasonably. Private companies and the government must work together for everyones maximum benefit. The government can't just take over. It will just create another and more massive red ink driven medicare system.

actually i think it's cheap in Japan. it's really expensive for me in the USA, but I admit the coverage is so much better... at least i hope it is if the time ever comes..

what kills me is the fact that i have to pay BOTH... if it was just one, fine.

Obama, to me, has some good ideas but i think it's important to give everyone more time. There was one Republican doc that I really liked and i forgot his name...He's just a doctor, not a politician. I'll have to look for that article again.

To me the sad thing is how angry the masses have gotten and yet they seem to understand very little about the issue itself. I say this about Democrats and Republicans alike even though the video clip i uploaded to my blog happens to be focused on an Obama-hater.

Where is Augustine's "City on the Hill" and who lives there?
And perhaps more importantly: How do they live - with each other?

How About a Bill of Responsibilities Rather Than A Bill of Rights
