How About a Bill of Responsibilities Rather Than A Bill of Rights

ya know, I do share the view of some Republicans and Blue Dogs that we shouldn't dive in too fast, that we start just by implementing some regulations in the private sector of the health care industry and see what happens first. with all this bad publicity alone changes are bound to happen anyway.
what i think would have worked really well is if Obama instead had these "town hall meetings" with just the doctors, nurses, hospital management, medical technicians and pharmacists as well as managements and experts from all the major insurance companies. the sad truth is that the average citizen (in any country really) isn't fully educated or informed enough of the issue at hand to give any insightful input. All he did was stir up a hornets' nest by asking every American to give their two cents. Though noble in aim, that's got to be the most inefficient way to get things done in Washington.
I'm with Bob Dole in that Obama would have had a much better chance had he personally drafted a specific legislative bill himself 3 months ago. The issue has gotten to be way too philosophical and drawn out of proportion.
